ADC National Youth Leader Sultan Bello Resigns Over Campaign Council Omission

The National Youth Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Sultan Bello, has resigned from the party with immediate effect following his exclusion from the newly unveiled campaign council for Atiku Abubakar's 2027 presidential bid.
Bello submitted his formal letter of resignation on Thursday, September 24, 2026, addressed to the party chairman of Ja'oji Gyadi Gyadi Arewa Ward in Tarauni Local Government Area, Kano State.

Reflecting on his tenure from 2022 to 2026, the youth leader stated that his exit followed extensive consultations and personal reflection, while taking to social media to express frustration over being left off the campaign structure despite years of active service.

His sudden departure comes amid broader internal friction surrounding the assembly of the ADC’s 2027 campaign machinery, joining other high-profile figures like Kingsley Moghalu who have publicly distanced themselves from the campaign council list.
