2026/2027 Champions League

As the 2025/2026 football season draws to a close, at least 19 top clubs across Europe have already secured their spots in the expanded 36-team league phase of the 2026/2027 UEFA Champions League. This early qualification is based on current league standings and the new UEFA coefficient rules. England and Spain have also performed so well in Europe this season that they have both earned an extra "European Performance Spot," meaning more teams from the Premier League and La Liga will join the big stage next year.

In England, the trio of Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United have already confirmed their places in the competition. Manchester United booked their return after a thrilling 3-2 victory over Liverpool, ensuring they finish in the top five. In Spain, four giants have already qualified, including the newly crowned champions Barcelona, alongside Real Madrid, Villarreal, and Atlético Madrid. Real Betis is also looking likely to take the extra spot earned for La Liga. Over in Germany, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig have also booked their flight for next season's tournament.

Other big names on the list include Italian champions Inter Milan, who are returning for their ninth straight season, and French giants Paris Saint-Germain and Lens. From the Netherlands, both PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord have made the cut, while FC Porto (Portugal), Galatasaray (Turkey), and Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine) have also secured their automatic entries. Fans are now waiting to see which teams will fill the remaining 17 spots as the final league matches and qualifying rounds take place over the coming weeks.
